Job Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery performance, maintaining customer satisfaction, managing staff, and driving operational efficiency to meet company targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Supervise day-to-day delivery operations including dispatching, routing, and tracking of parcels.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery success rate, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with central logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth parcel flow and stock management.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
2. Staff Supervision
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating delivery staff, drivers, and customer service officers.
- Motivate and coach team members to achieve performance targets.
- Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
3. Customer Service
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure quick resolution.
- Monitor customer feedback and suggest process improvements to enhance service quality.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and business partners.
4. Business & Financial Support
- Support the Branch Manager in budgeting, expense monitoring, and cost control.
- Contribute to achieving branch revenue and profitability targets.
- Assist in preparing performance and operational reports for management review.
5. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and delivery standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in delivery, logistics, or operations management (supervisory experience preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and delivery management software/tools.
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
