Job Summary

The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing daily delivery operations to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective service. This role involves managing delivery teams, coordinating logistics activities, resolving operational issues, and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily delivery operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows
  • Supervise delivery riders, including scheduling, route planning, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure on-time delivery, order accuracy, and service quality standards are consistently met
  • Monitor operational KPIs such as delivery time, fuel usage, rider productivity, and service costs
  • Handle customer complaints and delivery-related issues promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order flow
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to the Operations Manager
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, safety standards, and labor regulations
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of delivery staff
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Support operational planning during peak periods, promotions, or business expansion

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in delivery, logistics, transportation, or operations management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and delivery management systems
  • Good knowledge of local routes and delivery operations is an advantage
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required
