Job Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager in overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and effective financial control. This role plays a key part in financial planning, analysis, and internal controls to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow activities.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Track departmental expenses against approved budgets.
- Provide financial insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
- Maintain proper financial controls and risk management procedures.
Taxation & Statutory Matters
- Support tax calculations, filings, and statutory submissions.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Team Support & Coordination
- Supervise junior finance staff when required.
- Coordinate with other departments on financial matters.
- Support system improvements and process automation initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA / CPA / ACCA preferred).
- Minimum 3–6 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
