Job Summary

The Business Development Intern will be an integral part of the Business Development or Sales team, responsible for supporting the company's market expansion and client acquisition efforts. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience in the sales cycle, market analysis, and lead generation. The intern will primarily focus on researching potential clients, assisting with outreach campaigns, and contributing to the development of new business strategies.  

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Support


  • Identify and qualify potential corporate or SME clients in assigned sectors or regions.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting sales proposals and company profiles.
  • Support in client outreach (emails, calls, or in-person visits with supervisors).
  • Maintain and update lead tracking sheets / CRM databases.
  • Participate in client meetings, demos, and follow-ups alongside the BD team.
  • Conduct post-meeting summaries and support deal documentation.

2. Market Research & Data Analysis


  • Research industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in logistics or express delivery sectors.
  • Compile weekly reports summarizing leads, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Analyze client feedback and service gaps to identify possible product improvements.
  • Assist in preparing presentation decks and reports for management reviews.

3. New Project & Initiative Support


  • Participate in pilot projects, such as new delivery models, partnership programs, or regional service expansions.
  • Help coordinate between departments (Operations, Transport, Call Center, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, collect field data, and report outcomes.
  • Suggest innovative ideas or workflow improvements from an intern’s fresh perspective.


4. Branding & Business Development Support


  • Assist in creating marketing content (client flyers, service summaries, pitch decks).
  • Help organize business events, client visits, or promotional activities.
  • Contribute ideas for digital marketing and social media engagement (if applicable).

Learning Outcomes


  • By the end of the internship, the intern will:
  • Understand the end-to-end business development cycle — from lead generation to client servicing.
  • Gain real-world exposure in sales strategy, negotiation, and client relationship management.
  • Learn about cross-functional coordination between sales, operations, and customer service.
  • Develop strong presentation, data analysis, and communication skills.
  • Be capable of independently handling basic client engagement or project coordination tasks.


Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate in Business, Management, Economics, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in sales, partnerships, and market growth.
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English and Myanmar.
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable with fieldwork or client interaction.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
  • Team-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn.
