Job Summary

  The Operations Intern will support the core functions of the organization, focusing on improving efficiency, streamlining processes, and providing administrative and logistical support to various departments. This role offers hands-on experience in the essential "backbone" of a business, including supply chain, data management, and daily workflow optimization. The intern will work closely with the Operations team to analyze data, implement new procedures, and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Learning & Support 

  • Observe and learn the end-to-end flow of Royal Express operations — from parcel intake, sorting, dispatching, to delivery confirmation.
  • Support in daily branch activities, including data entry, parcel checking, and coordination with drivers or riders.
  • Assist in monitoring inbound and outbound shipments and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Help ensure on-time dispatches and accurate record-keeping in both digital and physical forms.
  • Learn how to use the company’s operation and tracking systems effectively.


2. Customer Service & Enquiry Handling


  • Assist in managing customer service calls, messages, and inquiries from both clients and recipients.
  • Help trace missing or delayed parcels by coordinating with related teams or branches.
  • Record and report common customer feedback to improve service quality.
  • Learn the communication standards used in Royal Express for professional client handling.


3. Coordination & Administrative Support


  • Support coordination between Operations, Call Center, Transport, and Sorting teams.
  • Help prepare daily operational reports, delivery logs, and performance summaries.
  • Assist in inventory and document management (e.g., airway bills, manifests, etc.).
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager or team supervisors.


4. Special Assignments & Learning Projects


  • Participate in short-term process improvement or audit projects within the branch or HQ.
  • Shadow senior staff to understand how cross-departmental coordination works in logistics.
  • Support in data collection or analysis for ongoing operational improvement initiatives.
  • Present a brief final report or presentation at the end of the internship summarizing what was learned and suggested improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate or recent graduate in Business, Management, Logistics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong interest in operations, logistics, and customer service.
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in learning.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Myanmar.
  • Comfortable with basic computer applications (Excel, Word, and messaging tools).
  • Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with different teams.
