Job Summary
The Procurement
Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and supply chain
management activities of the organization. This role ensures timely procurement
of goods and services at the best value while maintaining compliance with
company policies and vendor agreements. The Procurement Supervisor manages the
procurement team, develops vendor relationships, and ensures the smooth flow of
materials to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily procurement activities.
- Implement, and monitor procurement policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve vendor issues promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/operations teams to ensure timely replenishment.
- Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
- Track procurement KPIs (cost savings, lead times, vendor performance, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Train and guide procurement staff to improve efficiency and performance.
- Provide regular procurement reports to management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (supervisory experience preferred).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and ethical skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and vendor evaluation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement/ERP software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
